I had a sick day yesterday. I knew I wasn't feeling well on Tuesday, but I trucked on through the day (which is easier said than done), made it home that night with dinner, ate it, and bedded down on the couch until bedtime. When I woke up Wednesday morning, I knew it was one of those days where I didn't even feel like getting ready. I was already stopped up from the day before, then I started to have chills/fever which is definitely not good. After I called in sick, I headed right back to bed. I slept so much throughout the day, watched a little TV (which is good medicine sometimes), and ate a little, thanks to my sweetie. I should dedicate this entire little post to him, because he was great yesterday. I'm so thankful for a husband who takes care of me when I'm sick, because I'm a whiny, ugly girl when I don't feel well. ("Ugly," not meaning "mean," but "ugly" meaning "not so cute.") :)
He went to his Kiwanis meeting that morning, then stopped by Wal-Mart to get groceries and medicine for me. He even got me a little surprise- some Cadbury eggs (my favorite Easter candy, right behind Peeps)! I'll enjoy those later. He brought me my medicine and grape juice (yum), then I headed to La-La Land again. He had lunch and then after thinking about anything I could possibly eat, anything that sounded the least bit appetizing, I decided a waffle sounded yummy. He fixed me two, and brought them to me in bed. Am I spoiled or what??
I was feeling much better that night, and I moved to the living room for different scenery. I caught up on some of the shows I had DVR'd from our vacation week. (Sidenote: I am loving American Idol this season! Steven Tyler makes that show. I didn't watch it at all last year, mainly because I cannot stand Ellen DeGeneres, so this is refreshing. I am also HOOKED on "fat people" shows, i.e. Heavy on A&E and I Used to be Fat on MTV. Yes, I hate to admit it, but I like a show on MTV. Just one. I also LOVE Intervention on A&E, just because. I love the happy endings. I get mad when the show doesn't end happily.)
Zach watched the Duke game (which they won! Go Duke!), then fixed me an Instant Breakfast for dinner. He then unloaded the dishwasher, and loaded it back up until it was (sadly) full, and started the new load. It's sad that we had that many dishes in our sink to be loaded into the dishwasher. Oh well. Life goes on. :)
Just wanted to brag on him a little. Because, you know, if I brag, maybe he'll do it again sometime. That's what my logic is anyways. Hehe...
